A stunning rural retreat in the picturesque village of Upwey, centrally located for visiting Thomas Hardy Country, Weymouth, Dorchester, the Jurassic Coast and surrounding areas of Dorset.
Have you ever visited Dorset before? If not I would suggest you pop it on your list of places to visit! We have just got back from a weekend away in Upwey, Dorset and I didn’t want to come back!

We have just completed a wonderful week staying in Casterbridge. It is a lovely modern cottage with everything you could wish for - and enough wifi bandwidth to keep 4 teenage girls and their parents entertained through stormy weather! The two twin rooms were ideal for our daughters and their friends. The shared bathroom, being new (at least when they started!), coped with lots of showers. We enjoyed a lovely suite of our own with plenty of room and a wonderful en suite. There was plenty of garden space outside for our dog to enjoy between the rain showers. The kitchen and living room were very well fitted out and we were able to cook with ease and enjoy meals for six around the table with space for all of us. The owner, Helen, was immediately responsive to any questions we had. The cottages are new but in a beautiful setting in a lovely old part of the village. We could enjoy walks by the river straight from our door. The location is ideal being only a couple of miles from Weymouth and with easy access to all the coastal villages and beaches. We have already recommended it and will certainly be staying again!
